I started Peaceful Companion in 2011 because I wanted to provide quality of life even at the end of life. As friends and clients asked me to help their animals in the last phase of their lives, I realized there is a need for a service that would not only provide caring for the pet, but also support and education for the whole family.
I studied veterinary medicine at the University of Pennsylvania and completed a veterinary pathology fellowship at the University of Washington. I have worked in small animal private practice, emergency medicine, in academia, in government and as a diagnostic pathologist. I have a strong knowledge of both clinical medicine and pathology. My family and I moved to the Seattle area in 2002. We left for 1.5 years and lived in Australia where I was on the faculty at the University of Sydney Veterinary School from 2016 to summer 2017. I am glad to be back and practicing in the Seattle area.
I am an active member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, and The American College of Veterinary Pathologists.
