I started Peaceful Companion because I wanted to provide quality of life even at the end of life. As friends and clients asked me to help their animals in the last phase of their lives, I realized there is a need for a service that would not only provide caring for the pet, but also support and education for the whole family.
I studied veterinary medicine at the University of Pennsylvania and completed a veterinary pathology residency/fellowship at the University of Washington. I have worked in small animal private practice, academia, in government and as a diagnostic pathologist. I have a strong knowledge of both clinical medicine and pathology. My family and I have lived in the Seattle area for over 8 years. Our Collie is the newest member of our family.
I am an active member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, International Association for Animal Hospice and Palliative Care (IAAHPC), Puget Sound Veterinary Medical Association, Washington State Veterinary Medical Association and The American College of Veterinary Pathologists.
